FINANCIAL INFORMATION
EWB-USA is a 501(c)(3) organization. 501(c)(3) is a specific IRS tax code that EWB-USA must follow to retain it's non-profit status. This means that there are specific rules for how money can be kept and how reimbursements can be made.
1) All funds must be deposited in a bank account with 501(c)(3) tax ID for the donation to be tax deductible. This means that funds can only be deposited at EWB-USA or at University bank accounts (provided the University has 501(c)(3) status).
2) All reimbursements require receipts. This can even be a scrap of paper with the seller's information and signature on it.
3) Reimbursements must be submitted with a 506 - reimbursement form.
4) Prior to ANY fundraising:
- All University Chapters should read the 702 - Student Chapter Finance Document
- All Professional Chapters should read the 703 - Professional Finance Document
